Aurora Channel to air 26th Annual Ethnic Business Awards from Brisbane
13 November 2014: The 26th Annual Ethnic Business Awards, in 2014 ties in with the G20 conference from Brisbane and celebrates some of Australia’s most successful business people.
Aurora, the leading not-for-profit subscription community channel, will for the seventh year running broadcast the Ethnic Business Awards at 10.30am AEDT this Sunday, 16th November. Over the past two plus decades, the Ethnic Business Awards has celebrated the important contribution made by Australians born overseas, to the local economy as well as social cohesion. The Indigenous In Business award is an important category which highlights the often untold stories of enterprising Indigenous Australians who quietly forge successful businesses.
Founder of the awards, Mr Joseph Assaf AM said: “Diversity inspires us all and multiculturalism is a way of life. These awards celebrate all of that and so much more.”
Some of Australia’s leading business names judged the 2014 Ethnic Business Awards including Carla Zampatti AC AM, Allan Gyngell AO, Don Argus AO AC and Eve Crestani.
Special guest presenters included Immigration Minister the Hon Scott Morrison, Parliamentary Secretary Concetta Fierravante Wells and the Prime Minister’s wife, Mrs Margie Abbott.
