Lifeline Australia - July 23rd
On 23 July, Lifeline Australia will be holding their annual fundraising event - Stress Down Day. The event will encourage people and their workplaces to have fun and participate in stress reducing activities in return for making a financial donation to Lifeline. The money raised will go primarily towards covering the growing costs for Lifeline's 24 hour telephone counselling line - 13 11 14. This will help maintain the service availability to anyone needing emotional support.

NAIDOC celebrations are held around Australia in the first full week in July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. NAIDOC originally stood for 'National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee'. This committee was once responsible for organising national activities during NAIDOC Week and its acronym has become the name of the week itself. The week is celebrated not just in the Indigenous community, but also in increasing numbers of government agencies, schools, local councils and workplaces.

The Human Rights Arts and Film Festival was founded in 2007 with a vision to make human rights accessible, relevant and significant to the broader Australian community. In less than two years, HRAFF has grown into a nation wide Festival bringing you the boldest films and artwork from Australia and around the globe.

World Kids Colouring Day - May 6 |

For the third consecutive year, writing instrument company STAEDTLER and Save the Children have joined forces globally in support of World Kids Colouring Day to be held again on May 6. Children in Australia are invited to participate in this colouring campaign and, at the same time, raise money to help disadvantaged children in Australia.
All proceeds collected from STAEDTLER’s World Kids Colouring Day will support Save the Children in providing early childhood development, literacy, physical activity and nutrition programs in order to give all Australian children a chance to have a brighter future.
STAEDTLER is calling upon all parents and educators to register now and organise their own colouring events at home, kindergarten and school.
